Lodging options at the retreat include rooms in three different buildings. You'll be pleasantly surprised with the comfortable, clean accommodations offered. See pictures of some of the rooms by clicking on the link to Laurelville Mennonite Church Camp.
The Guesthouse: (20 rooms)
The Guesthouse has large, air-conditioned rooms with private baths. Half of the rooms on the ground floor have handicapped-accessible bathrooms, as well as access with no stairs. Most rooms have one double bed and two twins, with plenty of floor space for additional sleepers on mattresses (provided on request). There is a large, comfortable common area. Generally considered the “quiet” building, many of our elders prefer this ambiance.
The Solarhouse: (32 rooms)
The Solarhouse has comfortable air-conditioned rooms, with private baths. All rooms have a double and two twin beds. Upstairs rooms have a loft area for the two twin beds. There is some room for additional mattresses (provided on request) on the floor. There is plenty of space to socialize and play in the meeting room, solarium and common areas. This has become the traditional “family zone.” This is also where the nursery is located each morning. The ground floor is handicapped-accessible.
The Motel: (10 rooms)
The Motel also features air-conditioned rooms with private baths. The difference is that the rooms open onto a covered porch, and the lounge is across the porch from the rooms. This set-up is not the best for young children, but works for most others. Anyone with mobility issues take note: the lounge is down two steps.
There are a handful of campsites on the grounds at minimal cost, for the mildly adventurous. These have appropriate hook-ups, and there are showers at the bathhouse. Contact Julie Uber for details.
